Aeroglide's Innovation Timeline
1852
First industrial dryer manufacturer founded. They were our C.G. Sargent’s Sons 
1930s
DuPont used National’s lab in developments leading to Nylon.
1940s

C.G. Sargent’s Sons developed the Synthetic Rubber drying process with the US Dept.of Defense.  Then Sargent’s rubber dryer design was distributed to other dryer manufacturers in order to satisfy the war effort.

1949
First of over 2,000 Aeroglide grain dryers was built and installed.
1959

Largest State-of-the-art charcoal briquette plant was installed in US using Aeroglide equipment.

1960s

Aeroglide pioneered continuous drying with the world’s first two-pass dual-plenum conveyor dryer.

1973

The first FEC cereal dryers were installed at two food plants in the Midwest (GMI & General Foods)

1976
The first of 23 Aeroglide Catfish Feed dryer installations were made. This one in the Mississippi Delta.
1991
Toll free (US) 24 hour a day customer service line was installed to respond to Aeroglide customers worldwide
1996

Aeroglide introduced the patented VertiCOOL™ vertical cooler for petfood & feed markets.

1990s

Aeroglide responded to new challenges of attaining product moisture uniformity with the world’s first triple-pass petfood conveyor dryer, and the first sequentially-zoned dryer to optimize control of each phase of drying by using independently controlled zones.

1990
Aeroglide acquires C.G. Sargent's Sons.
1997

Aeroglide opens a permanent regional sales and service office, Aeroglide Europe, in Cambridge, England (It was then moved to Lincolnshire, England in 1999).

2000

Aeroglide introduces new sanitation features and innovative internal designs for eliminating collection areas and enhancing air distribution control in conveyor dryers and coolers.

2001

The first of Aeroglide’s highly successful dryer Seminars are held at the Aeroglide technology center.  This intensive instruction on drying gives Aeroglide customers an excellent overview of all drying concepts and technology.

2001

Aeroglide purchases commercial licensing rights of pulse fluid bed technology, then develops the AeroPulse™ pulse fluid bed dryer.

2002

Aeroglide develops and installs first impingement toaster, the AeroFlow™.

2002

Aeroglide expands permanent regional presence with a new Asia Pacific, Regional Sales and Service division in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

2002

AeroFlex adjustable feeder developed and installed to allow operators to control product infeed to the dryer during operation.

2002
Aeroglide acquires Food Engineering Corporation (FEC).
2004
Aeroglide dryer Evaluation Division evaluated its 1000th dryer. We have evaluated over  40 different brands of dryers in more than 30 countries, saving a processor on average $20,000 in increased production capacity and lower energy usage.
2004
Aeroglide acquires National Drying Machinery Corporation.
2005

“AeroPro” advanced controls system is introduced to enhance conveyor dryer product consistency and energy savings.

2006

Aeroglide opens facilities in Shang Hai and China.
